Beginning Monday, the University Park Campus will open one additional access point at Exposition Blvd. and Pardee Way.

Last week, USC’s 141st commencement drew more than 85,000 graduates and guests to the University Park Campus. We thank everyone for adhering to the security and perimeter protocols that helped us ensure a successful and memorable celebration for our graduates, their families, friends, and loved ones.
I am writing to let you know that early this morning DPS, with the assistance of the LAPD, removed the occupiers who had rebuilt their illegal encampment in Alumni Park. The operation was peaceful. Campus is opening, students are returning to prepare for finals, and commencement set-up is in full swing.

I’m writing to let you know the steps we’re taking now to ensure students finish their finals in a quiet, safe academic environment – and that our graduating students can enjoy peaceful and joyous commencement ceremonies worthy of their accomplishments.
I’m writing to give you an update. The recent events at USC have been hard on all of us – I know you’re seeing it, hearing it, and that you have many questions about how we’re maintaining safety, honoring free speech, and ensuring we can host our 141st commencement to give our graduates the celebration they have earned.
We are working to establish an operations protocol that will ensure a safe, secure, and smoothly running campus during these unprecedented times. Thank you for your patience. We know the last couple of days have been frustrating.
This update provides information about our upcoming 2024 commencement events. To ensure we host commencement activities and celebrate our graduates safely, we will be implementing additional security measures. These include ticketing of all commencement events taking place on May 8-11 and directing all campus access through specific points of entry.
