We are writing to share wonderful news that USC is establishing a new research collaboration with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) to improve biomedical research and innovation. It will be funded by the annual proceeds from a $40 million legacy gift from USC’s endowment dedicated to this purpose.

Professor Josh Kun, Chair in Cross-Cultural Communication at USC Annenberg, has agreed to assume this role [Vice Provost of the Arts] on September 1, 2023.
Over the past week-and-a-half, USC and the world have watched as the devastation in Turkey and Syria unfolded following a series of deadly earthquakes on February 6. We invite our Trojan community to participate in a vigil for the lives lost and for the families impacted. We will gather at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, at the University Religious Center (URC) courtyard.

On behalf of President Folt, I am pleased to announce that we will welcome Dr. Jason King as Dean of the USC Thornton School of Music, effective July 1, 2023.
