Dear Trojan Family,
After a dominating victory over Colorado, our football team returns home for Trojan Family Weekend! We are excited to welcome thousands of USC parents and families to campus and the Coliseum this Saturday!
Thank you to everyone who has made our return to tailgating – and to the Coliseum – a success this season. Safeguarding the health and safety of our community is a shared responsibility, and I’m grateful that our fans and the Trojan Family have taken this charge to heart. For this Saturday’s game, campus will remain at low density with tailgating open to fans who are permitted through our tailgating reservation system. There are no changes to pre-game activities at the Coliseum or Exposition Park.
In accordance with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health’s updated guidelines for Outdoor Mega Events, the following protocols will be enacted at designated USC home athletics events beginning this Saturday:
- All guests entering campus or the Coliseum on game day will be required to provide proof of full vaccination (defined as having received the final dose in the COVID-19 vaccine series at least two weeks prior to game day) or proof of a negative COVID test taken no more than 72 hours prior to game time.
- Guests under 12 are exempt from the vaccine and testing requirements. Guests 18 and over will also need to show a government-issued photo ID card.
- Those entering campus, either to access a tailgate for which they have registered, or simply to walk through the university grounds to access the Coliseum, will have to complete TrojanCheck in addition to the requirements detailed above.
- Those entering campus will receive a wristband that will enable them to bypass the vaccination/testing verification process at the Coliseum.
- All fans will be required to wear a face covering, regardless of vaccination status, at on-campus tailgate activities and at the Coliseum for the game. Facial coverings may be briefly removed while actively eating or drinking.
- Students, faculty, and staff accessing campus on Saturday for work, study, or classes will have their TrojanCheck verified, but will not be required to show proof of vaccination or testing.
We have created a centralized webpage outlining all of the latest game day health and safety protocols, which we will continue to update as guidelines evolve.
On behalf of the university and our athletics program – we thank you! We are so appreciative of your support as we continue to navigate the exceptional circumstances brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. We look forward to seeing you on campus and at the Coliseum this Saturday!
Fight On!
