Subject: November 11: Veterans Day and Weekday Football Game at the Coliseum
On Friday, November 11, 2022, at 6:30 p.m., USC will host the Colorado Buffaloes for a football game at the Coliseum. Because this is Veterans Day, it is a non-instructional day and we expect limited impact on our classes. However, students, faculty, and staff accessing campus that day should still expect some interruption.
Transportation and Parking: Increased traffic and parking issues due to the football game will impact university operations. Important considerations include:
- Alternative transportation: Game attendees are encouraged to use alternative transportation, including public transit and ridesharing services, rather than drive to campus on game day. USC bus schedules may be affected due to the increased traffic.
- Remote work: Supervisors have discretion to allow remote work if feasible. Managers should provide further instruction to their staff as necessary.
Because this is a weekday game, please note that no tailgating will be permitted on the University Park Campus or at USC Village, including the set-up of tents, chairs, tables, and/or picnic blankets for the purpose of serving meals or drinks, unless it is an official university-sanctioned event.
As you may know, the Pac-12 requires that its members host weekday games from time to time, and we appreciate your flexibility and cooperation. If you have any questions or suggestions for how we can mitigate disruptions to normal university operations, please feel free to contact your school or unit’s administration.
