8/5 – Game Day Experience Update

Dear Trojan Family,

I hope this note finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy. It’s been 621 days since the Trojan Family has been together in the Coliseum, and we are thrilled to welcome you back this season!

Thank you for your support of our student-athletes and commitment to USC and our athletics program. More than ever, our historic stadium and passionate fans will provide an immense home field advantage to our team. Our players appreciate our fans and rely on you to create a daunting environment for our opponents, so let’s remind our team and our rivals the power of the Trojan Family. You help us win games, and I hope to see you in the stands for the home opener against San Jose State on September 4!

Our goal is to deliver a world-class game day experience for all our fans. Over the past year, we have had an opportunity to review important aspects of game day operations on campus and at the Coliseum. While we will continue to evaluate the game day experience and plan to implement additional enhancements in the future based on your feedback, I’m excited to share some important game day upgrades.

Beginning this season, we will be expanding in-stadium beer and wine sales to all patrons, thus making these amenities available to fans throughout the venue and not only in the premium spaces. Fans 21 years and older will be able to purchase up to two alcoholic beverages per transaction, with sales ending at the end of the third quarter. This added service will bring us in line with many of our Pac-12 and Power Five conference peers. USC and the Coliseum are committed to promoting responsible drinking at USC home games, and fans are expected to abide by the Coliseum’s Fan Code of Conduct.

We continue to prioritize the creation of a safe on-campus environment for Trojan fans to celebrate and gather on game days. As such, we will be increasing our programmed space, including the Student Zone, which opened in 2019, and the Trojan Family Game Day Experience. This fan- and family-friendly zone – with live games and an array of food and beverages (non-alcoholic drinks, beer, and wine) – will expand to the entirety of Alumni Park, giving fans more space to enjoy campus festivities without having to bring their own tailgate gear. Access to campus will open six hours prior to kickoff for tailgate and game day activities and all on-campus tailgates will require a permit. For more information about on-campus game day activities, or to apply for a permit, please visit gameday.usc.edu.

We are confident these enhancements will improve your experience while also ensuring that attending a USC game at the Coliseum remains a safe, positive, and enjoyable experience for all Trojan fans and the campus community. You can read the entire announcement here.

As a reminder, we have shifted entirely to a mobile ticketing platform. Football season ticket holders should expect to receive their tickets via email in the coming weeks.

Thank you for your outstanding support and unparalleled spirit! I can’t wait to light the Coliseum torch this fall!

Fight On!
