1/25 Update on Student Conduct Process

January 25, 2022

Dear students,

I am so pleased to welcome you to campus this spring, and I am confident that this will be an exciting semester full of wonderful new opportunities.

When students are admitted to the University, they also accept the rights and responsibilities that come with membership in the USC Community. As Trojans, we act with integrity in the pursuit of excellence. We embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion, and promote well-being. We engage in open communication and are accountable for living our values.

In keeping with these University values, students are expected to abide by the University community’s standards of behavior as articulated in the Student Conduct Code, and in related policy statements. Recognizing its role in developing a sense of responsibility in students, the University has recently modified its student conduct process to use informal and formal resolution options to address student misconduct, focusing on educational outcomes.

For inquiries about the behavioral or academic expectations, or the University’s process, please contact the Office of Student Judicial Affairs and Community Standards, at sjacs@usc.edu.

As members of the Trojan community, each of us represents a way of being and acting in the world. I look forward to seeing all the ways you will embrace our university values and embody the Trojan spirit over the spring semester and throughout your journey with us.
