11/10: Thanksgiving/winter break travel and safety guidelines

With the end of the semester and Thanksgiving approaching, the university recommends travel only for those who plan to remain at their destination for the entire winter break, which extends into January. Other travel and safety guidelines:

  • A pre-travel COVID-19 test is recommended for everyone who will be traveling.
  • Sharing meals is unfortunately one of the riskiest activities for transmission of the coronavirus. Consider hosting a virtual event or limiting dining to those in your household. Do not use common serving utensils or pitchers.
  • Be diligent about wearing face coverings, maintaining social distancing and washing your hands regularly.
  • Everyone returning to USC after traveling or attending gatherings is advised to get a COVID-19 test before re-entering the university community.
