Health & Hygiene Protocols

Monitoring your health and being familiar with the symptoms of COVID-19 can help protect you and your community. If you feel sick, please stay home.

Tell us if you are test positive for COVID-19. Let the university know if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and had symptoms within 48 hours of being in contact with other employees or students. Complete the contact tracing form in MySHR

Complete Your Vaccination and Booster

Vaccines are crucial tools in the fight against deadly infectious diseases; we strongly encourage students, faculty, and staff to receive updated COVID-19 vaccines.

Staying Safer

Wear a high-quality mask when directed by current guidance. During times of higher transmission, public health guidance may include prevention measures such as masking indoors and in crowded settings. Medical grade masks (surgical masks, or N95 respirators certified by NIOSH standards, KN95 and KF94 masks) offer a high level of filtration and protection.

Hygiene Guidance

Wash hands frequently, or use hand sanitizer if a sink is unavailable. Remember, use hot water with soap and scrub for at least 20 seconds.

Keep shared spaces and equipment clean. If you share work stations, phones, keyboards, research equipment, and other spaces or equipment with others, be sure to disinfect these surfaces before and after you use them.
